Returns & Refund Policy

1. Overview

At PartsDirect.parts, operated by RevolutionParts Inc, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy outlines how to cancel orders, initiate returns, and receive refunds. Please read it carefully before completing your purchase.

Return Window

  • 30 days from date of receipt
  • Item must be uninstalled and unused
  • Original packaging required
  • Original invoice must be included

Refund Details

  • Processed within 4–5 business days of receipt
  • Issued to original payment method only
  • No store credit offered
  • Original shipping non-refundable (unless our error)

Return Shipping

  • Customer pays return shipping
  • No prepaid labels provided
  • We recommend using a trackable carrier

Restocking Fee

  • 15% on standard returns
  • No restocking fee on defective items
  • No restocking fee on incorrect items sent by us
  • No cancellation fee — see Section 2

2. Order Cancellations

You may cancel your order at any time before it has shipped at no charge.

To cancel, contact us immediately with your order number:

Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled. If your order has already shipped, please follow the return process in Section 3 below.

There is no cancellation fee for orders cancelled before shipment, regardless of whether the item is in stock or on order from a distribution partner.


3. How to Initiate a Return

Returns must be requested within 30 days of receiving your order. To start a return:

  1. Visit partsdirect.parts/account/order-status
  2. Locate your completed order and click "Return Item"
  3. Complete the return request form — you will receive return instructions by email
  4. Pack the item in its original packaging with a copy of your original invoice
  5. Ship the item back using a trackable carrier at your expense
  6. Once we receive and inspect the return, your refund will be processed within 4–5 business days

4. Return Eligibility

To qualify for a return, items must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Returned within 30 days of receipt
  • Uninstalled and unused
  • In original packaging
  • Accompanied by a copy of the original invoice

Items we cannot accept for return

  • Installed or used parts
  • Electrical parts (once opened)
  • Items returned without original packaging
  • Items returned outside the 30-day window
  • Items not in resalable condition

We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet the criteria above. If a return is refused, we will notify you and return the item to you.


5. Defective, Incorrect, or Damaged Items

Items that arrive defective, incorrect, or damaged through no fault of your own are exempt from the 15% restocking fee.

Defective items

If your part arrives defective, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the defect and your order number. We will advise on the return or replacement process. Note that warranty claims beyond the return window are handled directly with the manufacturer — see Section 7.

Incorrect items (our error)

If we shipped the wrong item, contact us within 48 hours. We will provide a replacement at no additional cost and cover return shipping for the incorrect item.

Damaged in transit

If your order arrives damaged, please contact the shipping carrier directly to file a damage claim. Retain all original packaging — the carrier may require it for inspection. You may also contact us and we will assist where possible. See our Shipping Policy for full details on damaged freight.


6. Refunds

Refund timing

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, your refund will be processed within 4–5 business days. All refunds are issued within 30 days maximum. You will receive a confirmation email when the refund is issued.

Refund method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method only. We do not offer store credit, gift cards, or refunds to alternative payment methods.

Refund amount

  • Item price minus the 15% restocking fee (for standard customer remorse returns)
  • Full item price for defective items or items incorrectly shipped by us
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable, except where the return is due to our error

7. Warranty Claims

All parts sold through PartsDirect.parts are covered by their respective manufacturer's warranty. PartsDirect.parts does not offer an independent product warranty.
